About Mr. Griffo's Science Class

Information about expectations, classroom policies and content standards.

ScienceWhat are academic content standards?

The academic content standards are provided by the Ohio Department of Education.  The standards are "clearly defined statements and/or illustrations of what all students, teachers, schools and districts are expected to know and be able to do."

Simply put, these standards are what you're child will be tested on during the Ohio Achievements tests near the end of the school year.

What is the Ohio Achievement Test (OAT)?

"The Ohio Achievement Tests for grades 3-8 measure students on what they know and are able to do in various subjects."  These tests are given to all students in grades 3-8 each year in late April or early May.

If you need additional information about the Ohio Achievement Test you should visit the Ohio Department of Education testing website.  We will also go over more information about this test as the year goes by.
