What are academic content standards?

The academic content standards are provided by the Ohio Department of Education. The standards are "clearly defined statements and/or illustrations of what all students, teachers, schools and districts are expected to know and be able to do."

Simply put, these standards are what you're child will be tested on during the Ohio Achievements Assessments near the end of the school year.

What is the Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA)?

The Ohio Achievement Assessments for grades 3-8 measure students on what they know and are able to do in various subjects. These tests are given to all students in grades 3-8 each year in late April or early May.

Class Expectations

1. Students will give 100% effort at all times.

2. Students will come to class with a positive attitude towards learning.

3. Students will ask questions if something is unclear.

Class Rules

1. Respect for all people and materials.
2. No arguing (with teacher or other students).

3. No horseplay in the classroom or lab setting.
